Victor,
Im looking for latest version of pardiso ccx solver and couldnt find it online. I saw this post on building one from your option 4) and followed the instructions but no files were in the install folder in that last step. Could you help me …
mike262, you can only hide individual if they are individual. If the outer layer and framing are the same component then you can hide the outer and see the framing.
JRP,
There's usually 3 steps I used before uploading to YouTube. All softwares referenced below are free.
1) Screen record at the highest available settings using ActivePresenter. End and save the recording without exporting (exporting ta…
JRP,
See attachment and YouTube link below. I use FreeCAD version 0.16. They did alot of changes in FreeCAD version 0.17 that I didn't look into them yet so I still use version 0.16. Note that when exporting the step file from FreeCAD, I used th…
JRP,
You can import your step file into FreeCAD. Then go to the part workbench, select the items, and click on the Union button. It will connect your surfaces. There will be a warning message about connecting non solid but that's okay. I have u…
And I would like to add:
I tested that ccx2.15_pardiso does not have inconsistent linear buckling analysis results using the multi-threading. I literally click run over and over like 40 times and didn't see any differences.
Just finished one test using the same model but different solvers. ccx2.15_MT complied by Kwip vs. ccx2.15_pardiso.
All I can say ccx2.15_pardiso is Amazing. One of my model had alot of issue converging and I had to let it run for more than an ho…
prop_design,
thanks for the paths, I was to locate them all using your paths, except for one (mkl_intel_lp64.dll). Even without the one missing dll, it's running now. Im doing some check on it now. Thanks alot!
I went back to JohnM method now that I found the dlls thanks to prop_design paths.
However, I wasn't able to find mkl_intel_lp64.dll just like Sergio couldn't find it (not sure if you did now).
I went ahead and make the folder without mkl_intel_lp…
JohnM,
Should we download the full version or a custom version of MKL? Im installing the full version of Intel MKL 2019 Update 3 for Windows right now. Thanks
Kwip,
I found your ccx2.15_MT. Did you find any issues with this solver besides the known issue on linear buckling analysis?
https://github.com/ddfem/ccx_mingw64/blob/master/ccx_2.15_MT.exe
Thanks
I see now. I went back and rerun a large model with about 324k nodes and 8 contacts. ccx.exe took about 5min and ccx2.14_MT took about 3min to solve. Also looked at the CPU usage. ccx2.14_MT used almost at 100% (when using all threads) while ccx.ex…
Attached are the screenshots of ccx.exe directory and ccx output showing I was using the stock ccx and multiple cpu being used.
If someone can also verify this, it would be great.
Victor,
It looks like your included ccx version 2.11 is multi-threading although it didn't labeled with "MT". The "CCX Output" showed multiple CPU being used.
I checked/compared yours against Kwip's complied ccx_2.14_MT on many different linear s…
