Simple way to turn on a thermal contact?

Attached is an example of how we turn on thermal contact. It requires a custom step file and we usually have to include the full load set in there as well. It works, but not exactly a "desk friendly" method. Can anyone suggest something simpler?

    Hi JohnM,

*GAP CONDUCTANCE can be temperature dependent.
Have you try to switch on once you reach a certain temperature at the interface?.
If you run a first analisys you could get the time_temperature evolution so CONDUCTANCE(Temperature) could be expresed as CONDUCTANCE(time) if you prefer to switch at a certain time.
Note temperature values used in the conductance definition are the mean temperature of slave and master surface.

    *GAP CONDUCTANCE
    0.0000,0.,193.15
    0.0001,0.,295.99
    10000000,0.,296.01
    10000001,0.,500.00

    Regards
