Mesh components but keep different materials

Hello,

I have a test setup attached.

In this file, I would like to mesh the ball and box together but be able to assign different material properties to each component. How might I do that? I've tried mesh3d but it meshes everything into one component.

I found a way to make it in Gmsh, or even inside Mecway using Gmsh and custom commands, but to me is easier to do it in Salome directly.

Hi Franc -when I open up the file u attached i see the ball and box as 2 separate components which then allows u to assign a new material to each. If they are collected as one component then isolate one mesh and in the 3d window left click and select "add element to new component"
