Victor, is it a quick task to add an option to add nodes relative to a node by click on that node as reference on the upcoming version? Currently we can only add node relative to the previous added no
Material non-linearity is certainly on the radar but it's not a very popular feature so may be a while. However version 3 will have Abaqus/Calculix file support allowing you to use the Calculix solver
Victor, for non-linear static analysis, only geometric nonlinearity is included in version 2. Would material nonlinearity be a new feature in the near future?
First, I'd like to thank for the free version of Mecway. I'm new in modelling but I find Mecway very easy to use so I'm willing to learn more and then buy the full version.
For future version, can we view contour results without element edges but with model edges so the element edges won't dominate the contour results. Please see youtube as an example:
Thanks for the suggestion. This is a widely requested feature, so I'm aiming to get it into Mecway in a near future version as long as there are no major obstacles.
No, you're not missing anything. A lot of different thicknesses isn't something that's very convenient in Mecway v1. Unfortunately you'll need as many components as thicknesses. Version 2 will improve
I can confirm that... Back during the Lisa version, I had a utility program that would read the output file and change the input file and do a real basic version of a compression only support. It wou
I can understand that kind of frustration. I'll try to get some way to save or preview the results for version 2. This will become more important as more non-linear features are added.
