I'm using ccx to calculate slip on contact elements for a fretting analysis. I want to select S1, Slip1 and Shear1 in a Table and multiply them together to get a fretting damage parameter. I can do this in Excel, but how do I read the results back into Mecway to contour plot? Or can I do this in the Table function?
Thanks, Paul
Ok, I guess I'll answer my own question. Set up the model with the redundant BC's on the symmetry plane and the bonded contact. Run CCX. It will fail, but it will write out the input file.
Open the input file and copy the *BOUNDARY lines. P…

Thanks for including *Film in the new version. Also, is there a limit to the number of lines you can write on the CCX step window? For big models it truncates the copy.

Thanks for your help. I got everything working.
One question. Is there a full list of CCX commands that I can refer to in the future? What is the source of the clip you posted?
Paul
OK, I put the CONTACT FILE CDIS, CSTR command in the CCX custom step contents and the model runs, but where do the contact disp and pressures come out? I don't see anything different in MECWAY. Do I need a CalculiX reader?
