Measuring distance between nodes for big parts

Hi, I´m working with big parts (about 10m), and when I try to measure distance between nodes, very often is not possible as in order to locate the first node I have to increase the zoom, but then the other node fall outside the screen, and cannot rezoom or pan in order to reach it. Is there some keystroke to keep the measurement active while zoommin/panning?

    You can now use the mouse wheel or +/-/arrow keys to zoom and pan while simultaneously using the tape measure.
