Is there a way to define a kind of template liml-file.
I was thinking about the possibillity to pre-define different materials that then can be aplied to the model instead of new definition.

You can also use File -> Import to add a model containing only a material to the currently open model.

Check out the "Import from Library" feature that can be enabled in Labs, it lets you use your idea to great effect by keeping material files in a common place for your team.
