Custom refinement.

Good morning Victor.
Seems that the custom refinement don’t take into account the element orientation applied.
I’m doing refinement in one direction only and the result is mixed. ¿Any suggestion?

Also comment that if I apply a local refinement the nodes in the transition area disconnects.

Yes, those are limitations of it, unfortunately. It's quite a low-level tool that's not good for local refinement and the R,S,T directions depend on the element's node connectivity which aren't necessarily related to the U,V,W element orientation coordinates.

You might have to refine each differently-behaving section separately. Though it looks quite complex to select them.
