Beam 2 STL Conversion

I am using Mecway for tubular frames mainly, which is pretty simple. However sometimes it is desirable to model parts of the frames as shells. Mecway is able to display the tubes in a reasonable way as shown in the attacment. However it is not possible to export the tubes in stl or a similar format, which allows to import them into a CAD system for further processing. Usually I would like to model some joints with reinforcement sheets with shell elements and the rest of the model with beam elements. Hopefully somebody already has a solution for this problem.
