Tunnel model and analyze

Dear all,

I'm civil engineer and very new with Mecway. I have a mini project about excavation a small tunnel. I had a difficulty in create a correct model, apply load and boundary conditions for the geometry.

Happy to hear some advise and idea from your guys.

    Hello Thanh. Could you give more details about what you're stuck on? Or you can have a look in Help -> Tutorials which shows examples of applying boundary conditions.

    Hi Victor,

    I tried to create a cube with 3 layers which represent for 3 layer of rock. When i assign material for the top layer ( with young's modulus, poisson's ratio and Density ) then run the model to see the affect of self-weight of the top layer on the second and third layer but the result is 0 on tress.

    Do you have any advise ?

    You would also need a gravity "load" and a constraint somewhere, such as fixed support on the bottom.
