It's only for information. I compared the results from a contact test made by VMH and the results obtained applying to the lug a Gencoz distribution, obviously with the same mesh density.
There is a macro in Roshaz. This kind of distribution is better than cos distribution when pin has a diameter about 95% or more of lug hole diameter. For example is very good for rolling bearing seat. I use this distribution for shackle-lifting lug connection without simulating contact...more quick. Obviously is necessary to refine mesh around the hole for better nodal load distribution and for catch the stress
Great! I will give a look then, sometimes I compute this case of loading and could help to avoid contact. Anyway CCX has improved a lot contact treatment in this last versions.
