stress and force result sign convension

Is there any help text or a reference doc to help with understanding the directions etc for the various stress, force, moments results etc.

There's some information under Shell and Beam on p52-54 of the manual.

Beam tensile force and stress are positive for tension and negative for compression.

Shell stress components are in the local element coordinate system, as shown by their names UU, UV, etc.

In both cases, use element values instead of node values unless the elements are lined up so that the averaged values are meaningful.

Solid stress components are in the global coordinate system as shown by their names XX, XY, etc.

It's quite a broad shallow answer so let me know if it isn't what you want.
