Featured example #01 - Dental implant finite element analisys
A client has ask me the possibility of doing FEA on dental implants, so I make a little of research and make this nice example to explore how far I could reach with Mecway and CalculiX. In my opinion is really incredible the kind of work that can be done with this powerfull tools.
Made entirely in Mecway FEA (meshes, application of boundary conditions, pre and post processing) using as Calculix solver (open source). The model includes biological tissues (cortical and trabecular bone), as well as specific titanium alloys for implant and ceramic dental crown.
