OpenRadioss - Cannot run starter

Hello,

I have Mecway 28 and would like to try OpenRadioss. Unfortunately, older OpenRadioss binaries are no longer available on GitHub, so I downloaded the OpenRadioss version currently linked on the Mecway website for Mecway 33.

I tried to run the impact.liml example, but initially I received the following error:

Cannot run Starter

I noticed that there was an extra \exec in the paths to the Starter and Engine executables, so I corrected both paths.

After that, the following Windows system error appeared:

mkl_intel_thread.2.dll is missing. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.

After clicking OK, another system error appeared:

libiomp5md.dll is missing. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.

After clicking OK again, the Engine was executed and its status in Mecway turned green, but no solution was produced.

Is it possible to run this newer version of OpenRadioss with Mecway 28? If so, could you please advise me on the correct configuration or any additional libraries/environment settings that are required?

Thank you for your help.

Best regards,
Jozsef

  • When you click the button to pick OpenRadioss, pick the directory above exec, not exec itself because it needs the other directories at the same level as exec. Then Mecway should set the environment variables and two exe paths appropriately. I think all versions should be compatible at that level. The only problems I'm aware of are relate to beam forces and moments.

If no solution, it could be aproblem with the model.
