Rotational elastic support

Is there a way to support a beam or plate on rotational elastic springs?
I can't fina a way.
It woul be great to add to to "elastic support" constraint a "rotational stiffness" in addition to "normal stiffness" and "tangencial stiffness".
This would allow simolarion of non perfect fixed supports when there is some resistance to rotation but not infinite, perhaps in frequency analysis.
The same would be usefull for beams, but stiffnesses shouldn't be per unit ol lenght in this case.

Comments

  • This would allow to simulate cracks in plates and beams.
  • Rotation stiffness may be un 3 direction, normal to surface plane and 2 direction in the plane of the surface.
It shold be possible to apply to sides of shell elements and end surfaces of beams too, where there ussually may be this kind of support.
  • Might not be what you need, but might be an idea starter.
