Heat flux vs heat flow rate - liml to inp node weighting

Hello,

I'm working on converting liml to Caclulix inp. In Mecway I assign a heat flux to a surface. This is converted to a CFLUX in the Caclulix file, which is based on the nodes.

How are the nodes weighted for the Caclulix heat flow rate?

  • At each node of an element face, it evaluates the following integral using Gauss quadrature:



    i is the node.

    N_i is the face's shape function for node i.

    phi is the heat flux you specified.

    If more than one face shares a node, Mecway sums the heat flow rate contributed by each face to give a single value per node to *CLOAD.
