Hello,
I have an xyz file, with each point being the center of a sphere with known radius. These points are contained in a bounding box.
I am attempting to do heat transfer analysis on a polymer composite.
Are there any suggestions on how I could automate reading in the xyz file, building the spheres and then meshing?
One idea I had was to first generate a grid mesh, select the nodes within the radius of each xyz coordinate and then assign those to a new component. But I feel like this would be too granular unless a very dense grid mesh was used.
I've attached an example of an xyz file with the spheres having a radius of 0.5 and the bounding box lengths.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
