Centrif force + Nonlinear Dynamic analysis

Hello,

I have set up a Centrifugal force in a Nonlinear Dynamic analysis with custom cards. It is not available in the loads menu when activating Dynamics.
I still need to find a simple problem with closed solution to compare with but “apparently” it seems to work fine.

Is there any special reason why it is not included for this type of analysis?. I wouldn’t want to spent time if there is some known issue or drawback I'm not aware.

  • I don't know any good reason. Probably I wasn't confident in how to validate it (should it also cause a Coriolis force?) and not many people asked for it.

  • Nonlinear Dynamics with large rotations.
    Axis should keep aligned to the global axis after each rotation and it does. Angular momentum is nicely preserved.
    After some cycles numerical error acumulates and it starts to deviate but more than enough. This test is like an ice skater opening and closing her arms.
    I still need to figure out how to test Coriolis.
