Viscoelastic materials

Hello,

I'm interested in modeling a viscoelastic materials between to hard materials under compression.

Are there recommended material type for something expected to deform greatly?

I see the Neo-Hooke and Mooney-Rivlin materials but wasn't sure if there were others that might be better?

Or is this something Mecway might not be designed to deal with?

Thanks,
Frank

  • CCX has viscoplasticity but it's not in the Mecway GUI. You can probably use it by writing some cards by hand. See *VISCO and *CREEP in the CCX manual.

CCX also has other non-viscous material models. See *HYPERELASTIC and *HYPERFOAM.
