Possible bug exporting mesh only models to Abaqus/CCX inp

Hi, I'm starting to use Mecway as pre/procesador for Calculix, my way of work is create two separate files, one for the mesh and one for the boundary conditions (and then run CCX using the SciTE menu).

If I export a model including only a mesh and groups of nodes, Mecway creates also some STEP, STATIC... cards that were not defined. In my humild opinion this cards should not be included unless a step be defined.

  • You can prevent these cards appearing from the outline tree with CCX -> don't generate keyword.

I'm not sure if there's a right way to export .inp files. Mecway doesn't have a way to define no analysis so if static analysis is defined, then the appropriate *STEP and *STATIC cards get exported to .inp. Even a mesh with no boundary conditions can still be solved in both Mecway and CCX (if it has material), so that's a valid model and somebody might want to do that.
  • Victor, you are right, tomorrow will try that option.
