Edge threshold angle

When working with shell elements sometimes darker lines show up in the model when the "show element edges" is deactivated.



Is there an internal graphical edge threshold angle that triggers that darker line?
I’m wondering if the edge threshold tool could be useful to anticipate Knots on shells?

The threshold angle for displaying the thick edges is 20 degrees, which is coincidentally the same as CCX's threshold for introducing knots in shells. However, the way they each measure angle on curved elements might be slightly different so they might not match perfectly.

Those dark lines could then be a good help to know where some refinement would be recommended.
