stress export to Paraview

When exporting results to Paraview I get 9 stress components, labelled 0 to 8. Using symmetry of the stress tensor, I would normally only expect 6 components. I presume this means that sxy=syx, sxz=szx and syz=szy get exported twice? If so, how are the stress components in the VTK labelled (e.g. sxx = stress[0], syy = stress[1], etc.)?

I am planning to write a Python script in Paraview to replicate what I did for FreeCAD in the past and need the stress components for this. For example, the principal stress directions and magnitudes in a concrete wall on two columns:
