Does Mecway support tension and compression springs supports?
I am analysing a footing subject to eccentric loading using spring supports.
There will be lift off over part of the footing and bearing elsewhere. Does the spring support exert pull down when the footing is lifting off?

Version 19 (beta here https://mecway.com/download/mecway190_Beta5.msi ) has elastic compression-only supports for CCX which sounds like what you're looking for.
