Moment load applied on shell

Hello,

I have a problem with applyig moment load to cantilever shell.
Load moment applied to node or edge does not occur with any deformation or stress.
However moment applied in other axis (weak axis for I section) is working.
I propably miss something obvious, sorry I don't have a big experience with FEA.

Beam element cantilever with applied moment load behave correct, but I cannot get it working with shell.


Could you please help me?

    I am sorry, I cannot edit my first post.
    I have solved the problem, file in attachement.
    Also, I know that shell model in first post was not correct, because of duplicated nodes.

    The problem with the first model was that the shells have no drilling DOF so their nodes can't take moment loads about the normal direction.

    Another approach, besides the node-surface coupling that you used, is to apply the moment load to the 2D faces of the elements instead of a node. Include the faces on both sides to get it centered at the midsurface.
