I am having issues with convergence when applying a compression only support. Searching the forums, it appears previous advice has been to adjust the tolerance for convergence. I can not locate this option - any help is appreciated.
I think there is no tolerance adjustment parameter to adjust convergence. ¿Could you post the file or a simplified version to see if we can help? I have found the compression only support can be difficult sometimes.
The convergence tolerance for compression-only support is no longer available. It converges when there are 0 changes in contact status at each node.
Compression only support is really a poor-man's contact that I added because the CCX interface wasn't available at that time. It's a "hard" contact (constraints turned on or off at each iteration) instead of elastic like CCX's, and can get stuck chattering sometimes.
