Cross-Sectional View

For a few of my projects, It is necessary to see a cross sectional view.

I am aware of the 'Cutting Plane' or by just hiding Components.

Although these both work, adding components is a little tedious and I do not like the diagonal cutting that the Cutting Plane does.
Is there a better way of obtaining a cross sectional view other than these two options?

Convert your .frd result file to some readable by Paraview format (as vtk, vtu, rmed...) and postprocess in Paraview. There you could have a clean cut of your part (hiding the element edges). Anyway will be more tedius than Mecway!
