Ramberg Osgood

I notice on the input tab for R-O it says ' use with isotropic linear elasticity only'. I find that a little confusing as it is only employed with non-linear analysis. Does it mean use with isotropic materials only?
On a related note there is nowhere to input UTS on the plasticity tab - this would seem to be a useful feature, preventing convergence when it runs past UTS. I guess thats down to calculix though.

  • I agree it's a bit confusing. It means use the Isotropic option in the Mechanical tab. That's because it uses Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio from there.

    No UTS, sorry.
