Hi,
I have several questions on the use of Mecway for a personnal project involving composite and isotropic materials
- Does it handle distributed pressure imported from OpenFoam ? If so how can I map it ?
- I am not able to tie two edges using bounded tool when I have a two shell in contact with their edges? is there a method for it ?
- Is there a possibility to generate a body from a shell throught the programm and to attach 2D elements over it in addition of 3D elements in the bulk part (example simulation of the foam with composite arout it) ? if it is possible how can I do it ?
Thank you !

1. It can't import OpenFoam pressure, and having a different pressure on each element/node is difficult in Mecway because each one appears as a separate pressure item in the outline tree. You could write a script to generate the .liml file contents for it.
2. No, sorry.
3. Yes with some of these tools:
- Mesh tools -> Automesh 3D to fill in a closed shell with solids, or import a STEP file and mesh that.
- Mesh tools -> Hollow to convert it back to shells,
- Mesh tools -> Move/copy to make a copy of it before using those others so you have both shells and solids.
