Thank you for a great program!

I used to use MSC Nastran / Patran professionally back in the ‘80s and ‘90s. I have since left that industry and am now getting back into FEA for my other Hobbies and just for fun. My wife thinks I need to get out more. ;) Anyway, I want to say how easy it was to get productive using Mecway. I’m creating models in hours that used to take weeks using Patran. I’m running analyses (300,000+ DOF) in mere seconds that used to take twenty four hours or more… if it ran at all. Heck, I’ve got Excel spread sheets that take more time to update! Picking it up after a long absence, I am productive again in minutes. It’s just plain intuitive.

    I used to use Algor before I retired in 2012. Now that I'm consulting I find that Mecway (LISA) fills my needs for linear analysis for a lot less money! About the only thing I miss is the Algor non-linear capability.

    Have to agree, this is one fine package. Using FEA for the past 23 odd years (EMRC Nisa, ANSYS, MSC/NASTRAN), Mecway do not have all the "nice" feature, but it is more than cost effective. The compression only boundary condition is like a dream come true, few very powerful commercial packages delivers the same.

    I was formerly the sole developer of LISA from 2006-2013. They are two independent companies and both are licensed to sell some of the same code.

    I agree with the previous posts. I just discovered Mecway and it's awesome. I too have used Algor, MSC Nastran, MSC Patran, I-deas, and ANSYS. Mecway has so many nice features I can't even list them all. The software is incredible and the price is extremely low, making Mecway the best value available. I love using Mecway, it's very easy to learn and very capable. I hope more people discover Mecway.

    I should also add, I too am retired and enjoy FEA as a hobby. Most FEA companies do not have a license category for that type of user. So I really appreciate Mecway's licensing strategy.
