Shell Elements - Hinged Support

Hi all, how do I create a hinged support for a shell mesh? If I select the edge of the mesh ("faces") I can only put a fixed (=clamped) support. If I select the nodes on the edge of the mesh and apply a pinned support then I get a single hinge somewhere along the edge, which does not properly support the entire edge. Thanks. Harry

Think in the other way. Mecway doesn't constrain degrees of freedom a priori so you don't need to specify something to behave "free". If you just want the plate not to move just constrain the displacements. I also recommend you follow some of the tutorials on Youtube.
