Bolt pretension in quasi-static analysis.

Hi,

I’m new to Mecway. I’m trying to analyse pretension in a bolt using the pre-tension section option in Mecway. I’ve managed to run the model using the nonlinear static 3D ccx solver. However, I would like to run the model with the quasi-static option checked, in order to gradually apply more pretension. By applying the pre-tension to the same model and running a quasi-static simulation, it does not seem to converge.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

    There you have it. Seasoned with CCX custom card to achieve faster convergence. I would replace the contact with TIE in bolt head and nut interfaces.
