Robust Hexahedral Re-Meshing

Today I found this nice article about hexa meshing, have reade several similar in the past, but the intersting of this one is that have also found the programs that they have developed.

Could it be that someone could compile the sources to get the final executables?

Comments

  • I tried but keep getting an error when I run the .exe
  • I found this open source library that looks interesting. It also has solvers.

  • mfem looks spectacular but none the examples I could see have the transitions between element sizes needed for Mecway or CCX. It must be for some other method or element type that allows that very easy kind of mesh where corner nodes are connected to the midsides of adjacent elements.
  • yeah, i have never seen curved edges either. it can make a mesh that follows a nurbs surface. somehow they are showing solved examples of that. but as far as nastran, ansys, algor, i've never seen that.
  • it does say it supports gmsh and netgen mesh formats though. the documentation doesn't seem very in depth.
