    Simple Mission: Change the engineering simulation and modeling mindset in education and industry by making low-cost and free simulation resources more accessible and easy to understand.

    Make simulation as commonplace as Excel.

    Mecway, Calculix, OpenFoam are all excellent tools towards this end!

    I also like the idea, big software companies has implanted the idea that engineering can be done only with insannely expensive software tools, and for most of the cases can be done with free or affordable ones. My best wishes.

    I would add Salome_Meca to the list SimCommons presented :) Mecway reminds me of ALGOR before Autodesk aquired the software, kind of the same feel
