Nice project! I would work in the cad to get the midsurfaces, and then export every component as a single step or iges files to be meshed as shells in Mecway. Another way would be mesh as solid (but using a 2d mostly quads extruded to get hexas/wedges elements), but you must care of using three elements and second order to capture well the deformations on a sheet metal part as this.
Stiffeners below the perforated plate looks like they are not solid objects. Seems two surfaces together very close and "empty" . Check the image below. ¿Is that what you wanted to model? The geometry healing of netgen shows some small edges too.
