Good evening everyone.

I have a potential project where I need to look at tipping. I will basically have a square unit which on the top sits an extendable arm, which carries a weight X on the end.
When the arm is extended at full length, still carrying weight X, I need to check whether it will tip the unit or not.

I appreciate its all about getting the c of g as low as possible but I wondered if there a way to check this in Mecway?

    There's no direct CoG readout, so you might have to do it by supporting it at a couple of points and using the reaction forces to calculate the location of the line of action for the weight load.

    could this be done using compression only + week spring constraints to create a moment couple ?
