Victor,
Using the internal solver, the solution results for strain energy density are greyed out, when can SED be accessed?
Using the formula option under solution results, the variable Ue fails to provide SED (for a solid element model).
Is SED a planned enhancement of solids?

However, for linear analysis without thermal stress, the formula for it in terms of stress and strain components is fairly simple:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strain_energy_density_function
You could put it into the formula in Mecway as
0.5*(s.xx*e.xx + s.yy*e.yy + s.zz*e.zz + s.xy*g.xy/2 + s.yz*g.yz/2 + s.zx*g.zx/2)
Note that for shear strains, epsilon_xy = gamma_xy/2, etc.
I checked this with a simple uniaxial compression (attached) but otherwise I'm just trusting the Wikipedia formula.
Thank you for your help with SED, providing formula and example.
Much appreciated.
