Hi Victor
I want to be a little bit curious. What are the plans for the next Mecway release?
Some new features?
New options for meshing?
When will it come?
Mecway is agreat software, hope development is continued
Hello Victor
I am still struggling around with the problem above.
Unfortunately now i found some other model from 2018 (same structure at different stage), but here the Error is
*ERROR in e_c3d: nonpositive jacobian

i used different versions of CCX (2.14, 2.15, 2.15 paradiso) ...
I also face the problem now in other Prats bonded to the main structure.
I am confused , because the model worked fine in 2018
Thank you for your answer.
The File->Open helped to get all nodes and some elements displayed...
I will do some more investigations by my own. If I'll stuck I woud come back to you and send an .frd file to you
I did some tests now and it seems …
hello,
i read just your diacussion about AMD or Intel CPUs.
I have the question about using the paradiso solver. For that you need the Intel® Math Kernel Library... is that working with AMD's CPUs?
Thanks to all. The forum is a great thing. I finally managed to get the paradiso-solver running after struggling around with the DLL's
I hope Victor is able to include it with the next version of Mecway if the licenses permits...
That sounds very good.
But how to get it running, I just download Intel MKL and tried to get the required dll and lib. I am not really familiar with such libraries. In fact I found many of them but almost older release. The mkl_intel_lp64.dll i di…
unfortunately I couldn't find windows binaries for 2.15
Seems the www.bconverged.com has stopped to provide ccx (last release is 2.10)
can one privide a link to the binaries.
Thank you,
you are right, it is the number of nodes and the degree of freedom of each node.
Unfortunately I don't find a clear statement in the ccx Manual
Has anyone experience with the max number of nodes/equations.
I am using 12 GB in my PC

one more question on CCX
can anyone give the max number of nodes and/or elements that can be handeled with the ccx Versions.
Tryed to solve a model with approx.491000 elements and ccx failed (crashed)
Reduced model with around 390000 elements …
hi Victor
thank you for answering. It was more in general.
I attached a sample file. If I run it 3D nonlinear with Quasi Static unchecked it produces reasonable values ( with Mecways ccx and kwip's one).
Switching to Quasi static (time step in…
Hi all,
when I run a nonlinear static Analysis 3D (contact) out of Mecway I get the result at the end of calculation (time step 1.)
How can I get and Show step Output in between 0 and 1.
Regards
Thank you for answering Victor,
i can follow your advice
now i saw, that i can choose all nodes if i use the selction mode "nodes" and then drawing a squar on the screen around the bolt. After that I can apply a "New Temperature". This I can do f…
Hello Victor
I downloaded your example IC contact.liml and opend it in Mecway 8.0.
When I run the solver i got an error message in the solver Output

@kwip
I tried your last Version of ccx_2.13_MT from guthub
and it worked fine (even on my old i7 860 / model size app. 370.000 nodes ), results were same.
Thank's a lot for people like you beeing so deep in programming and doing all that work for the community (and for free!)
I express my appreciation to you!
Hello,
I run the inp-file from windows-cmd and got the same result. Program starts but produces not more than the Output shown in Picture error1.jpg.
(Macway's ccx solves the inp-file)
CPU i use:
i7 CPU 860@2.8 GHz ( 8 cores)

Hello all
I downloaded ccx_2.13_MT.exe from https://github.com/ddfem/ccx_mingw64, saved it and tried to run it from inside Mecway, but the solver did not produce any Output.
Any Idea what is wrong? Is something more required to make it run?
Sorry…
