Concentrated Load

Sorry if I keep asking simple questions.

I have attached an .igs file that I would like to constrain the ends and add a 25 pound load in the middle.

I could not find any good examples to use as reference.

Try exporting as STEP to be allow to mesh directly with solid elements with Mecway.

cirasj,  I tried importing it to FreeCAD to export it to .step but your file has many overlapping surfaces and also doesn't seem to be a solid model.  Please recheck your CAD file.

It must be the initial translation to the igs file.

I drew it in Solidworks.

I will redraw it and convert it to a STEP file.

Here is a STEP file.

The part is a 5" diameter A36 plate, .25 thick, with a 1 psi load in the 2" diameter area in the center of the plate. The edges of the plate is held fixed.
